Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif earlier today
awarded laptops to merit scholars of Punjab University. CM while
addressing the huge gathering stated that this distribution of laptops
has been done totally on merit and not a single laptop has been awarded
on discretion. CM stated that merit and transparency have been among his
top most priorities and if a single penny's corruption is proven
against him, he would quit politics. The students were ecstatic and
raised the slogans of "sher aaya, sher aaya". CM stated that those who
have come with an imported agenda are trying to derail democracy and
questioned where they were when floods hit Pakistan or dengue struck
Lahore. CM was given a standing ovation on his departure and students
cheered and waved with excitement. (Admin)
